Pilot QD Primer is a one-component oxidatively drying alkyd primer with zinc phosphate. Pilot QD Primer comes as a one component, and requires no mixing – reducing waste, spills and leftover paint. It dries quickly, forming a hard dry film in only 90 minutes, enabling you to move, stack, ship or use your coated items rapidly. Pilot QD Primer can be used as a one-coat, direct-to-metal product in atmospheric corrosivity classes C2, and can potentially save a coat because of its high build properties compared to conventional alkyd and acrylic primers. Pilot QD Primer can increase the time between maintenance needed when used as a primer coat in mild to medium corrosivity environments. Pilot QD Primer can be used as a primer together with SteelMaster intumescent coatings.

- Low Flame Spread in accordance with EU Directive for Marine Equipment. Approved in accordance with parts 5 and 2 of Annex 1 of IMO 2010 FTP Code, or Parts 5 and 2 of Annex 1 of IMO FTPC when in compliance with
IMO 2010 FTP Code Ch. 8.
