Resist 86 is a primer with 85% zinc for severe corrosive environments. Resist 86 is a high-volume solids, inorganic zinc silicate coating with 80% zinc dust, designed as a primer for coating systems where extended durability is required. Resist 86 provides very good corrosion protection when used as part of a coating system in atmospheric conditions and is heat resistant up to 400C. It is suitable for use on properly prepared carbon steel substrates and is easy to apply. Resist 86 complies with ASTM D520 type II zinc dust.
Pre-qualification testing in accordance with NORSOK M-501, Rev. 5, System 1, suitable for exterior exposure in offshore environment, below 120 °C.

Complies with the requirements of Research Council on Structural Connections (RCSC) Class B, Appendix A (Slip coefficient and resistance to tension creep).
